At EnergySphere we use a type of meditation, that is easy to learn and practice, called Active meditation. It incorporates a specific activity into the practice of mindfulness and may include movement, breathing, humming, candle gazing, etc. Focusing on these activities, helps participants to gradually clear and calm the mind and bring their awareness into the present moment. This approach makes meditation practice more accessible to people who are new to meditation and mindfulness practices.
Active meditations are designed for modern men and women who usually have a fairly active mind and for whom following a passive meditation can be quite challenging.
Active Meditations were put together by and an Indian teacher Osho, in 1970s. Based on an ancient tradition, they have been modified to suit modern people of every background. The practice is non-religious, easy to follow and can be practiced in a group or on one’s own.
