What is counselling and why do people come to it? Counselling for us is about two things: healing and change

Healing - because it helps people heal their emotional pain, which is just as real as physical pain.

Change - because most of the time people come to counselling to find ways to change something in themselves or in their situation.

We believe that both healing and change happens in a relationship.

One of the most influential figures in modern psychology, Carl Rogers, once said:

I am hypothesizing that significant positive personality change does not occur except in a relationship.” Counselling provides a specific kind of relationship where healing and change can happen. It helps you find a way to

  • Heal from emotional pain
  • Resolve internal conflicts
  • Create more energy for effective living
  • Create balance, harmony and wholeness in your life

Our approach to counselling emphasizes integration of emotions, body and mind to promote wholeness as a natural state of a human being.

Rather than focusing all our efforts on thinking, we use a more gentle intuitive approach that uses mindfulness, your heart-based values, acceptance of emotional experiences, committed action and somatic work to help you achieve your goals.

Here are the counselling modalities that we use to serve you:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Somatic Experiencing
  • Reality Therapy
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Person-Centered Therapy
  • Mindfulness

As our way to contribute in a current situation of Covid-19, we would like to make counselling as accessible and affordable as possible. As such, we are offering counselling sessions at a special price. Sessions are conducted on-line via Zoom.
